Denny Felsner, from Mount Clemens, Michigan, played for the Junior Red Wings prior to entering the University of Michigan.
He played in 162 games during his four years at Michigan. He was the leading scorer on the team during both his junior and senior seasons and still holds the record for single season points by a senior with 94 points. Denny Felsner ranks second on the career points list at Michigan with 261, with 139 goals (1st overall) and 122 assists (9th overall). He holds the career record for power play goals with 60 goals and ranks fourth for game-winning goals with sixteen.
Denny Felsner was awarded the Dekers Club Award for Best Rookie in 1989. He received the Hal Downes Trophy for Most Valuable Player in 1991 and 1992, winning the Doc Losh Trophy for Scoring Leader in the same years.
After leaving Michigan, Denny Felsner played professional hockey from 1991 to 2001, including time in the National Hockey League with the St. Louis Blues.
